My 30th birthday celebration didn't stop with Palm Springs. The following weekend, Brian went out of town for a bachelor party, so all my favorite girls came in town to help me celebrate!
Saturday afternoon, we headed to Katy Trail Ice House to take advantage of the gorgeous weather. Most of us started with carafes of mimosas (aka the greatest thing ever), and we ended up staying there for hours.
Here's the only picture I could find of the whole group (screenshot of my friend's Instagram....I have no idea how else to get it!):
In the distance, I spotted a dead.ringer for my friend Sarah! Seriously, see the blonde girl below (behind the Will Farrell in 15 years and a whole lot of sun exposure look alike)?
Now here's Sarah at my bachelorette party two years ago:
Twins, I tell ya! Since Sarah lives in Chicago, she couldn't be there to celebrate with us. So seeing her doppleganger was the next best thing :)
We drank the day away, and while the mimosas were fab, I couldn't get over the downright cuteness of the bucket of mini champagne cans that Shannon and I split. Adorable, right?!
My sister and two of my best friends (one from high school, one from Dallas) are all named Kelly. I just love that three of my favorite people on earth share the same name! So of course, I had to take a "Kelly" photo.
While I see my sister on a fairly regular basis, I haven't spent a day/night with her and no kids since my bachelorette party two years ago! So it was extra fun to get some one-on-one time with her.
We all went back to my house to get ready for the night....and made the (regrettable?) decision to keep popping the champagne. Let's just say it's a giant blur that ended in two broken champagne glasses and me wearing out a dress all night without taking off the tags. Apparently, I was celebrating my 21st birthday and not my 30th?
That night, we used the greatest app ever, Uber (a car service), to take us to Kung Fu Saloon for some more drinks and dancing. We had a blast but didn't even make it until 1am (guess that's one difference from my 21st birthday!).

I passed out on the ride home and woke up about 45 minutes later to find us just pulling up to my house? Curious since I live less than 20 minutes away. Turned out, my friends made the awesome decision to stop for some late-night food at Taco Cabana. After devouring way too many breakfast tacos, we all passed out. Hard. Everybody was feeling it the next morning (sign #2 that I am most definitely not 21 anymore). But all in all, it was totally worth it.
I had the BEST time hanging out with my favorite girls. Turns out, 30 ain't so bad! Thanks to my 3 Kellys and Shannon for such a great weekend!
